Conflicting goals and opportunities for science stakeholders
Although science does not have a political mandate and generally does not have political means at its disposal, it does have important influence in acute political crises. The IKM pursues issues relating to science diplomacy in various project contexts. Among other things, it was at the centre of an online event with civil society and science stakeholders on the situation in Belarus. The event was organised by the then President of Viadrina, Ukraine Calling and the Institute for Conflict Management and moderated by Anne Holper.
